Breaking Vegas (S1): Slot Scoundrel
Ron Harris of the Nevada Gaming Control Board was a quiet, hard-working, pony-tailed techie who would betray the NGCO in the biggest scandal in its history. Disillusioned by the Board's lax attitude toward the criminals he worked so hard to capture, he went from busting technology-related scams to inventing new, nearly undetectable scams of his own.
Using his top-secret inside information, he begins reprogramming the very same computer chips in slot machines that the Board asks him to test, then simply directs his accomplices to the rigged machines and has them collect the cash. Using a network of cell phones, calculators and a laptop, Harris and his partner John O'Connor meticulously prepare to beat the system for millions. What they have no way of knowing is that their biggest win would be their last. In a thrilling showdown, Harris seemingly flawless plan unravels, and lands him in prison.
